San Ignacio Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located just 20 minutes south of Tucson, Arizona, in Green Valley, Arizona.
The San Ignacio Golf Club Golf Course opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
San Ignacio sits nestled between the Santa Rita and Tumacacoris mountain ranges at 3,000 feet elevation, providing for a spectacular and challenging desert-golf destination. The course’s beauty is further enhanced by Santa Catalina and Rincon mountains, which rise in the distance, giving players even more breathtaking views as they make their way around the tranquil tract of holes.
When Arthur Hills sculpted the course into the area’s natural canyons, he was able to use the existing topography and create dramatic elevation changes throughout the layout. Each fairway is defined by the natural landscape and abundance of mesquite trees giving each hole a feeling of privacy. As the fairways make their way up to multi-tiered greens, your view will open up to some great putting surfaces. Strategic pin placement on the multi-tiered greens gives players a different experience every time they tee it up at San Ignacio.
The signature course is the 522-yard, par-five 13th hole. The tee box sits high above the water-guarded fairway below, giving you full view of the challenge that lies ahead. This risk-reward hole will challenge you every time.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,704 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,200 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 535 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 535 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at San Ignacio is # 17, a 170 yard par-3.

This layout is very challenging. Course condition was poor. Greens baren with some damage. Fairways had some bad spots. Would think this is prime time, end of January. Will try it again, but lots of course to play around here.

The pro shop was empty of inventory, no showers, but a nice view. Bring your "A game" for this layout. Very penal

San Ignacio and it's sister course Canoa Hill came under new management in 2012 and both courses were combined to become San Ignacio North (old Canoa Hills) and San Ignacio South. The North Course layout was changed by adding another set of tee boxes (gold) to lengthen the course somewhat and the White and Red tee were shorten a bit whitch made several holes much more playable for the average golfer The new management invested a great deal of money in both course and basically brought both courses back from the dead. These are both in very good condition and most golfers will enjoy the experience. Fairways roll well and the greens are in very good to great condition and fairly quick....guessing around 9 or so.
